Manor Farm and Woodlands
Situated in acres of beautiful countryside just outside the Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire border is the Manor Farm and Woodlands. Ashby De la Zouch Castle
Ashby de la Zouch Castle is a renowned Royalist stronghold during the Civil War, the castle finally fell to Parliament in 1646, and was then made unusable. However an exciting underground passage from the kitchen to the tower can still be explored today! Pleasingly atmospheric ruins, really boosted by the bits that you can still explore. The gardens are great for exploring with multiple levels and weird sunken features that are bound to get little imaginations going. The brave ones can also climb the 24m (78 feet) high tower, too.
