Tropical Birdland

Tropical Birdland

The Tropical Birdland in Leicester opened its gates to the public sometime in 1984. Ever since then, the Birdland has kept increasing its standards with the amount of exotic birds, bird shows and maintenance.

The Parrot Path is a great place to get up close and interact with the birds. You might also catch a Citron Cockatoo if you're lucky during your family day out in Leicester!

The Play area is perfect for kids of all age groups. It's situated next to the perfect place, the Macaw restaurant. You can grab a bite while your little child has the time of his/her life.

Newly born chicks are probably the cutest bird you will see in the whole of The Tropical Birdland in Leicester. If lucky, you might also witness a newly born cracking through the egg!

Some of our soft-billed birds are housed in the main walk through aviary. Here you will be able to spend as much time as you like looking for all the different species. Many of the birds love meal worms and will come up close if they see you have them.

If you want to be a little adventurous, you can always go "off road" into their lovely natural woodland. They are known for having native wildlife, trees and shrubs. Graceful birds like the woodpeckers, kingfishers, jays and squirrels are a few of the species you might spot in the woodland.
